Training – Overview

At Emergency Response Assistance Canada, preparedness begins with training. Through a variety of educational and practical learning opportunities, we support ERAC response teams, Canadian first responders, and Plan members in developing the knowledge and skills needed to respond safely and effectively to dangerous goods incidents.

 

  • Regionals

    ERAC conducts an annual two-day training and assessment of each ERAC liquefied petroleum gas and flammable liquids response team to ensure that competent emergency response teams will respond to incidents on behalf of our Plan Participant members.

  • LPG Firefighting Training

    ERAC offers a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) Firefighting Awareness online training course and a two-day LPG Level 1 Operations Firefighting training course at your location.

  • First Responder Training

    ERAC provides training to Canadian first responders to help them safely assess and respond to road or rail incidents involving liquefied petroleum gases and flammable liquids.

  • Incident Command System (ICS)

    ERAC offers its own version of ICS 100 and 200 for free to Canadian-based first responders and our Plan Participant members.
